Vijay Eswaran Provides A Little More Insight Into His Books

Dr. Vijay Eswaran is the Executive Chairman of QI Group Ltd. and the president of RYTHM Foundation. He has turned that company into a multi-billion dollar company with large sales volumes, but he considers his philanthropy and personal philosophies to be most important. He talks about his philosophies and spiritual practices in his book “In The Sphere Of Silence” which became a bestseller in 2005 and has been highly reviewed by business leaders around the world. Eswaran said he wrote that book because he realized the world was becoming so dominated by technology and he felt more than ever that taking time out to pause and observe silence was becoming more critical than ever. He says that stopping and just listening and meditating can be refreshing, and it’s important both to his work and his personal life.

Vijay Eswaran grew up in Malaysia and also has citizenship in India since his family originated there. He holds a bachelor’s degree in socioeconomics from the London School of Economics and began his professional career as a marketing consultant before going into direct selling full-time. Eswaran and Joseph Bismark met while undertaking a multilevel marketing company expansion in the Philippines, and in 1998 they began their official direct selling company QI Group Ltd. in Hong Kong. They overcame a shortage of financing options to bring it into reality, and over the years it’s not only sold billions worth in home and lifestyle products, but it’s also helped many independent associates go into business for themselves. QNet, QI Group’s main sales company allows people to become independent associates and sell QI products to their own customers.

Vijay Eswaran has helped many special needs children and areas in Asia affected by disasters get relief through initiatives at RYTHM Foundation. In recognition of his contributions through the organization, Forbes Asia named him in a 2011 edition as one of its “Heroes of Philanthropy.” Eswaran has also spoken at the World Economic Forum, the 6th Pravasi Divas in India, and was featured at the 2012 Global Indian Meet where he was presented with the New Global Indian award.
